BSS welcomes new Head of School
After an exhaustive search that involved the participation of our community, BSS is pleased and proud to announce that Judith Carlisle joins us as Head of School August 1, succeeding outgoing Head Deryn Lavell. Ms. Carlisle comes to BSS from Oxford High School, an independent day school for girls in the UK, with nearly 900 students spanning the ages of 4-18 years. Oxford High School is one of the top-performing independent schools in Britain. Cindy TRIPP ‘82, Chair of the BSS Board of Governors, and Head of School Deryn Lavell made the announcement to staff and faculty in the BSS Chapel earlier this year (see photo below). As a welcome surprise, Judith was on hand to deliver some warm words to the group and express her excitement about taking the helm when she and her husband David move to Toronto. There will be more to share about Judith once she officially begins her new role. Read full Press Release. Get to know Judith in a fun interview with Deryn below.
