Over the school year, Advanced Placement Research students have taken on the challenge of independently executing original research projects.
From identifying meaningful topics to analyzing primary, secondary and tertiary sources, they honed their inquiry skills and selected research methods – ranging from surveys to experiments – to address gaps in existing research. This month, they presented their findings with clarity and confidence to peers and special guests.
Topics ranged from animal welfare strategies for cats and horses, to posture aids for Parkinson’s patients, classroom design for student success, the impact of social media discourse and parenting styles, and gender expectations for female athletes.
