Last week’s panel discussion, The Power of Women in Tech and AI, brought together inspiring female leaders to talk about the future of work in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
The speakers — Cari Covent (Global Chief Data and AI Advisor at Microsoft), Allison HARRIS ’13 (Founder of Atomiq), Adriana HUGESSEN ’09 (PhD student at Mila) and Kayla BENSON ’18 (Head of Operations at Asepha and Founder of Biomedical Bits) — addressed the need for AI fluency and responsible integration across diverse sectors. They also stressed the importance of women’s contributions to prevent algorithmic bias, shape emerging regulations and leverage AI to free up time for more novel, creative work. Ultimately, the panel agreed that the future is optimistic. As these technologies grow, human skills like curiosity, ethical citizenship, critical thinking and storytelling will become our greatest differentiators, making a well-rounded education more essential than ever for the next generation.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this fascinating and vital conversation!
