The fall season was an incredible showcase of Bobcat spirit, teamwork and athletic excellence. Across all age groups, our athletes demonstrated skill, determination and pride in representing BSS.
Here are the highlights:
Junior School
The U12 Swim team (along with the U14, U16 and U20 teams) made waves at the Markham PanAm Centre bringing home the Bishop Cup, which last sat on our shelves in 2009.
The U10 Basketball team travelled to Hillfield Strathallan College in Hamilton for their final tournament, finishing off their undefeated season.
The U11 Basketball team played their final festival games at home (hosting eight other teams) and came away with all but one win.
The U12 Basketball team travelled all the way to Ridley College in St. Catharines, and demonstrated amazing grit, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The U12 Cross-Country team ran in cooler weather at Centennial Park with more than 1,000 racers in attendance.
The U12 Soccer team had a great day at Country Day School, with many close games ending with BSS in a five-way tie for third.
The U10 Soccer team played at BSS with great spirit and positivity through rain and shine, demonstrating their resilience.
Middle and Senior School
Our U14 teams had a standout season.
The U14 Flag Football team captured first place in CISAA, showing remarkable grit and focus.
The U14 Field Hockey team earned a bronze medal at the Final Four hosted at Appleby College.
On the pitch, the U14 Soccer team brought home gold against De La Salle.
The U14 Basketball team also claimed gold after a competitive final against Havergal College.
The U14 Cross-Country team ran a fantastic final race at Centennial Park to capture gold, showcasing their speed, endurance and determination.
The U13 Basketball team advanced to the semi-final round, narrowly falling to Branksome Hall in a thrilling match.
The Junior Girls Basketball team had a strong and spirited season, demonstrating growth, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The Junior Flag Football team captured gold in an intense final against Crestwood Prep School, pulling ahead in the final ten minutes.
The Senior Flag Football team also had a fantastic season, displaying enthusiasm, dedication and team spirit throughout.
The Senior D1B Field Hockey team earned silver against Lakefield College School.
The Senior D3 Field Hockey team traveled to Rosseau Lake College and returned gold medal champions.
The Senior D2 Soccer team finished their season with their best game yet against Toronto French School.
Though they fell in the semi-finals, we continue to cheer on our Division 1 Soccer team as they face Greenwood College School in their semi-finals this week.
The Varsity Cross-Country team had a strong showing at the CISAA Championships at Trinity College School. Our Novice Girls team qualified for OFSAA, and Betsy K ’27 qualified individually. At OFSAA in Brampton, the BSS Grade 9 team placed 15th in the province out of 38 teams.
