The school year is in full swing in Boarding, with new and returning students settling into residence and diving into a calendar of events designed to spark connection, belonging and school spirit.
Move-in on September 1 marked the beginning of a new chapter, as boarders unpacked, met their roommates and joined their multi-age “families,” which will serve as a foundation for friendships and mentorship throughout the year.
The energy carried into the weekend with Community Day, where boarders enjoyed laser tag, mini golf and arcade games at GlowZone 360 — a chance to laugh, bond and celebrate the start of the year. Excitement continued with the first House Games of 2025–26, as St. Hilda’s and St. Monica’s went head-to-head in dodgeball, charades, a sponge relay and more. Friendly competition and spirited cheering filled the gym as students earned points for their Houses and strengthened their sense of team pride.
As the year gets going, Monday Night Dinners will help introduce students to the rhythms and traditions of life in Boarding through dynamic student-led activities. Through workshops, cultural outings in Toronto and leadership opportunities within residence, boarders will continue to explore their interests and grow into independent, resilient young women throughout the year. These early experiences set the tone for a year where every student can feel at home, supported and connected.
