Alumnae across generations came together at our Fall Reunion to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate all things BSS.
Graduates from 1965 to 2025 came together for a celebration that included explorations in the Archives, conversations with current students, favourite hymns in the Chapel, and delicious food and drinks. The Class of 2020 showed up in record numbers, with 43 members in attendance.
From exciting co-curriculars to lifelong friendships and inspiring classes, alumnae shared some of their favourite memories of BSS.
My favourite memory was the opportunity to do Hockey Day at the Air Canada Centre.
My favourite BSS memory was the Boarding Games. St. Hilda’s forever!
My favourite memory from BSS is my first economics class. I remember it blew my mind and I’ve been a huge economics nerd ever since.
In 1977, we went to the UK for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee, and it was quite something. We started in Aberdeen and went down to London and Guildford, and Sir Edward Heath conducted us. Great memories and great friendships were formed through this experience, and it’s one of the reasons I encouraged the formation of our Alumnae Choir.
I was the Games Captain in my final year and I remember leaving a swim race (I came in second) and rushing upstairs to do the final House debate with my Dupont co-partner. That to me is the essence of BSS - athletics, clubs and everything in between!
My favourite memory is when I was House Head for Dupont and we won the House Cup for the first time. It was fantastic and I’m really proud of everyone still.
My favourite memory has to be the Boarding community. I built so many great friendships and I’m still friends with so many people I met there.
I was in a couple choirs at BSS and my favourite songs that we sang were from Queen. Learning and performing Somebody to Love and Bohemian Rhapsody is my favourite BSS memory. I sing those songs to this day!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable celebration. While we honoured milestone years ending in 0 and 5, it was wonderful to see alumnae from all years join in the fun. Here’s to many more!
