We’re lucky to live at the intersection of old and new. Beautiful stained glass and leaded windows characterize our 100-year-old building while gleaming glass and wide open spaces mark our stunning 12-year-old Junior School. Added to the mix is a new STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) complex that guarantees to astound. All these spaces come together to make one unique and exhilarating campus. The only thing missing? You. Come see us soon!

To great applause, the ribbon on our new wing is ceremoniously cut by: Head Girl Victoria Valentine; Board Chair Cindy TRIPP ’82; the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdsewell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario; SK student Sapphire T; and Head of School Judith Carlisle.
Head of School Judith Carlisle welcomed the community to the September 12, 2017 birthday celebration, saying “We didn’t get to be Canada’s oldest day and boarding independent school for girls, without taking risks and taking a stand for girls and women.” Read full remarks
Many of our staff and students take public transit to school. The 512 St. Clair streetcars from St. Clair West or St. Clair/Yonge subway stations stop a few short blocks from 298 Lonsdale Road. Some take the Route 5 bus and walk in from Avenue Road.
If you’re driving, please note that there is extremely limited visitors’ parking on campus so leave lots of time to find street or lot parking in the neighbourhood. Street parking around the campus opens up after 10 am on weekdays and, after 5 pm, you are welcome to park in vacated staff parking spots when you’re on BSS business.
The Bishop Strachan School is committed to providing accommodation for persons with disabilities. If you require accommodations, please contact Elisabeth Gsoels, Administrative Assistant, Human Resources and Finance at 416-483-4325, ext. 1163 or by email at email@example.com.
If you’re planning on visiting BSS, we’re thrilled! But please be aware that there is extremely limited visitor parking so if you’re driving you’ll want to leave time to find neighbourhood parking.
