The BSS Boarding program provides a unique opportunity for students to flourish in a supportive environment. Living right on campus, boarders are immersed in a vibrant community that encourages transformative personal and academic growth. Our vision is to foster a culture of care and empowerment to support the whole student experience.
We are proud of our program, but we’re not finished. BSS is investing in Boarding with the new Commons space, a community area where boarders can connect, relax, learn and grow in their home away from home. And this is just the beginning. Facility Upgrades
Investing in capital improvements creates a comfortable environment for Boarding students. Upgraded facilities, like the new Boarding Commons, enhance the overall living and learning experience, and foster connectedness, belonging, individual growth and accessibility.
Scholarships and Financial Assistance
Transformative education flourishes in a diverse environment made up of people from different racial, ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Financial assistance is essential to ensure a BSS Boarding education is accessible to a wide range of students. Academic, merit-based scholarships also provide life-changing opportunities for students with unique abilities.
Enhanced Programming
BSS Boarding provides students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop valuable life skills and broaden their perspectives. Our enhanced Boarding programming encompasses expanded after-school and weekend activities tailored to the interests, learning needs and well-being of our boarders. It includes life skills workshops on topics such as cooking, finance and career development, and an array of enrichment workshops covering academic success, creativity, and personal growth. Dedicated well-being curriculum ensures students' physical and mental health needs are met. Additionally, the program actively engages with all that Toronto offers through experiences like university visits and off-campus excursions.
Almost 20 percent of BSS Boarding students receive financial assistance. Our priority is to ensure equitable access to programming that elevates the Boarding experience for every student – from an ice cream trip to a resume-building class, academic tutoring to kayaking, off-site fitness sessions to a visit to Canada’s Wonderland, and more.

How Can You Help?
As part of our Strategic Plan, we are committed to continuing to diversify our boarding community, bringing together people from different racial, ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. We will continue to upgrade our facilities. And we will expand the breadth of programming, making it accessible for all boarding students. Together, we can create a transformative experience that empowers boarders to embrace their futures with confidence and resilience.
Our goal is to raise $500,000 to provide an elevated and exceptional BSS Boarding experience. Leadership gifts of $25,000+ will be prominently recognized on a donor wall within our new Boarding Commons space.
