A Standout Spring Season

Congratulations to our Bobcats for an incredible spring athletics season! Our athletes have shown tremendous growth and we couldn’t be prouder. From personal bests to team triumphs, this season is a testament to their hard work and our commitment to engaging girls in sport.
Junior School

  • The U12 track and field team took home more than 50 ribbons and many personal bests at the championships. Special congrats to Olivia W ’33 (first in the U10 hurdles and high jump), Hayley M ’32 (first in U11 triple jump), Charley W ’33 (first in U10 javelin), Edwina X ’32 (first in U11 javelin) and Penny R ’33 (first in U10 discus and a new CISAA record)!

  • The first-ever U12 Ultimate team played as an all-girls team in a co-ed league, showing amazing grit.

  • The two U12 softball teams had a fantastic season, with the BSS2 team finishing the season undefeated.
Middle and Senior School

  • The archery team competed at the annual Great Lakes Invitational Archery Tournament, one of the largest indoor archery tournaments in Ontario. The team placed second in both the female standard and female recurve categories. Special congrats to Fatima A ’25 and Bernice W ’25, who placed in the top 5 in the standard individual category.

  • The competitive golf team were CISAA champions.

  • The Junior and U14 rugby teams both took home silver medals at the CISAA championships.

  • The Junior tennis team were league champions and took home the gold at the CISAA championships.

  • The U13 tennis team were also league champions and placed third at the CISAA championships.

  • The Senior softball team placed third at the CISAA championships.

  • In Senior track and field, the team placed first overall at the CISAA championships. In the divisions, the Novice team placed second, the Junior team placed first and the Senior team placed second. Fourteen BSS athletes qualified for Metros in 23 individual events, and four relay teams qualified – the maximum possible! Congrats to Betsy K ’27 who qualified for OFSAA with a first-place finish (and personal best) in the Junior Girls 400m and a second-place finish in Junior high jump, and Jaime N ’27 who qualified for OFSAA after placing fourth in javelin.
