95th Annual Nativity - December 13 and 14

There are few traditions at BSS as time-honoured as our annual Nativity. It is one of Toronto's oldest Christmas services and a BSS tradition that shouldn't be missed. This year we will be celebrating our 95th production!
There are few traditions at BSS as time-honoured as our annual Nativity. It is one of Toronto's oldest Christmas services and a BSS tradition that shouldn't be missed. This year we will be celebrating our 95th production! While the cast and choir this year are composed of students from Grades 7 - 12, the long line of students who have stood at the front of the Chapel in this classic pantomime dates back to 1928. It is amazing to think that each year the movements, speech and even intonations have changed only slightly over time. Watching the Nativity play is, in many ways, akin to looking through a portal into BSS history. This year we will be showcasing seventeen new custom-designed costumes. Be sure to make space in your holiday calendar for this rich BSS tradition and “rejoice with exceeding great joy.”

Dates: Wednesday, December 13 and Thursday, December 14
Location: BSS Chapel

There will be an Old Girl Nativity Reception on Thursday, December 14 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm between the performances. Join us between performances for cookies, cocoa and caroling led by the Old Girls Choir. To RSVP for the alumnae reception, click here. No tickets or pre-registration are required for the Nativity performances.
