We're excited to share our 2024-25 Impact Report: The Signature of a BSS Girl.

The academic programs at BSS are grounded in responsive teaching and result in great learning, and this is especially true in mathematics.

This October, two BSS students, Valerie P '27 and Miranda K '26, joined innovators from around the globe at the NASA Space Apps Challenge.

Our Co-operative Education Program gives students the chance to step beyond the classroom and explore future possibilities through hands-on experience.

The school year is in full swing in Boarding, with new and returning students settling into residence and diving into a calendar of events designed to spark connection, belonging and school spirit.

This year, we were honoured to take part in the 45th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run, continuing Terry’s inspiring legacy of resilience and hope.

For our youngest learners to our senior students — and even parents — the first weeks of school have been filled with opportunities to connect, celebrate and set the tone for an inspiring year ahead.

In June, a group of BSS students embarked on a sea kayaking trip in Nootka Sound with ALIVE Outdoors.

Our annual Intersection Visual Arts Exhibit was a vibrant celebration of student creativity, curiosity and imagination.

Grade 6-8 girls are invited to connect, learn and take action at the Voices of Leadership Climate and Nature Action Symposium on Friday, May 9 at BSS. In this all-day symposium, students will engage with environmental leaders, participate in hands-on interactive workshops, network with environmental leaders and peers — and be inspired to lead sustainable change!

At BSS, math is dynamic, interactive, and collaborative, going beyond the textbook to build confidence, understanding and critical thinking. Through hands-on activities, students develop problem-solving skills and take ownership of their learning. Here are some recent examples.

Students and staff came together on March 6 for our annual Girls’ March in honour of International Women’s Day. First launched in 2018, the Girls’ March reflects our mission to inspire girls to be fearless and educate them to be leaders.

Fifty students in Grades 9 - 12 departed for Italy this weekend for an immersive cultural experience in the performing arts.
