At The Bishop Strachan School, we foster a caring community that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB).
We encourage our students to use their voices and create opportunities where they can come together to feel a sense of belonging. Our weekly Chapel services attended by all students affirm our multicultural and multifaith community. Our faculty and staff ensure the curriculum is culturally responsive and focused on equity. And we take the time to listen to and reflect on the voices of those in our community who experience barriers to inclusion.
Together, we acknowledge the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, on whose ancient and sacred land we live, work, and play. As a community, we recognize the ever-present systemic inequities that stem directly from our past wrongdoings, and we commit ourselves indefinitely to respecting and reconciling this long history of injustice.
