Faculty and Staff Learning

Our faculty and staff engage in professional learning that focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB). We explore topics of anti-oppression, cultural competency and privilege.
This approach helps us to continue learning and further shape our programming and curricula to be relevant and reflective of diverse identities. It allows our students to expect diversity of thought, speech and actions in all their studies, and to be a safe place for dialogue.

    Across The School

The Head’s Equity Advisory Committee is composed of faculty and staff from across the school. Multiple perspectives are represented and terms of service are rotational, allowing for many employees in the school to participate.

We have strong teacher leaders whose education and experience guides and sharpens our work. The DEIB Professional Learning Committee is made up of staff and faculty who meet regularly to learn together and build practices for equitable and inclusive classrooms.

DEIB Curriculum Specialists in the Junior School and Middle and Senior School support culturally responsive teaching and inclusive classrooms.
