Welcome BSS Old Girls!

Young Alum

A note from the Committee:
“It’s only been a couple of years since we started the Young Alumnae program at BSS, and already we’ve seen great things come out of it. When we kicked off the program, our intent was to build a sense of community with Old Girls who are 0-15 years out of graduation. For some, the events we’ve held were the first they’ve attended since graduation. For others, these events have been yet another way to connect with the school and other graduates. In addition to more casual events like pub nights, we’ve held a number of joint events with other Toronto schools like Branksome, UCC and Crescent on wide-ranging topics including Canadian politics, personal branding, LGBT rights, and innovation. Co-chairing this committee has been a great opportunity to stay connected with BSS – not only with staff and fellow graduates, but with current students as they look to transition from students to Old Girls. Whether they’re attending film school in the US, medical school in the UK, or business school in Montreal, it’s clear that they’ll have great stories to share at Young Alumnae events to come! We’re proud of the progress we’ve made thus far, but also motivated by the knowledge that there’s still so much that we can do.”

The BSS Alumnae Association (BSSAA) is a committed group of Old Girls who work with BSS staff to organize inspiring events and initiatives to support and engage our grads.

Thanks to our thriving Old Girl community, we are fortunate to have incredible ambassadors for BSS living and working all over the globe.

In Hong Kong and New York, we have two formal and very active Friends of BSS Boards. The purpose of these Boards is three-fold; to fundraise, to bring together our international Old Girls, and to act as ambassadors for BSS. In addition, our US Foundation Board ensures that our donors are able to receive tax receipts for use in the United States.
